Form & negative space
The triangle is economical enough to survive at icon scale. Its upward apex gives a static silhouette a direction; the surrounding empty space does much of the identity work.

Documented process
Vercel publishes its brand rules as part of the Geist design system. The guidelines distinguish the full logotype from the compact triangle symbol and define the primary logo’s safety area using the symbol height. This study documents the published system; it does not assign an unverified origin date to the triangle.
